What Parents are Saying

“Spencer has come a long way with his speech due to the great speech therapists at the center. When we started he was not very verbal. With the help of the Speech Therapist he continues to progress with his speech therapy each week.”

During the toughest time of the pandemic , our fantastic speech and language pathologist helped me mould my sons language. He did so well with her help. I cannot express in words the gratitude I feel for the folks at SCC, as they have gone above and beyond in helping us. To us they are irreplaceable.

My experience with Somerset Children’s Center has been amazing! My son has been coming for speech therapy since his 3rd birthday and now will be 10 years old next month! We’ve spent the whole time with Ms Rose and she is the perfect fit for my son! She has helped him achieve his goals, which in turn helped him with his confidence also. His speech improved dramatically with her help. Ms Rose is very knowledgeable and provides excellent feedback. There are not enough words to thank her!

Somerset Children’s Center has been extremely helpful in developing my son Matthew’s physical and social growth.  His Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist have been great working with him over the last several years.  It has been a comfort to my family to have a close, affordable, successful center where my child can have his needs met.

Miss Urmila is an excellent teacher! She provides both a great mix of listening, speaking and practical learning activities and a very safe, supportive learning environment.

We started OT session with her 3 years ago, my older son was struggling with handwriting and some fine motors skills. Miss Urmila started from very basic instruction to detailed lessons which includes letter sizing, spacing, cutting, drawing and muscle exercise. My son succesfully learned from her. He was evaluatuated for OT services at school and he got almost 100%.

Additionally, Miss Urmila taught zones of regulations. My son learned a lot how to manage his behavior. His frustrations and meltdowns were significantly decreased.

I am very grateful for her, she is very compassionate and eager to do extra step to help my child. As an educator and a parent, I am very specific and observant how my children’s teacher conduct session and lesson. Miss Urmila is a perfect example of a compassionate therapist with a heart and shares her knowledge in a manner that a student understands and applies it.
